Young Talents

Founded in 2006, The Jeune Troupe is a residency in Geneva for soloists at the start of their professional careers. Selected through auditions, these young talents from all over the world benefit from a stable working environment at the Grand Théâtre for one to two seasons. They take part in selected productions in second or intermediate roles, gaining valuable stage experience whilst working with internationally renowned directors, conductors and soloists. They also forge a special bond with the audience by taking part in various events throughout the year, such as the Apéropéras.

Whilst contributing to the success and quality of the Grand Théâtre’s productions, the soloists of the Jeune Troupe develop their potential, assert their artistic identity, consolidate their professional standing and prepare to take on more significant roles. After their residency, many continue to return regularly to Geneva, whilst pursuing brilliant international careers on Europe’s greatest opera stages.
